Attendance to school is extremely important. Not attending school is a loss of academic time for students. Let's keep this in mind.

On Saturday, August 23rd, four members of the CCJSHS Middle School FFA Chapter went to the NASCAR Coke Zero Sugar 400. So you are asking yourself, what does that have to do with Agriculture, right? Well, before the race, we attended a Q & A session with NASCAR Cup Driver Ross Chastain, whose family have been farming watermelons for eight generations in Alva, Florida. After the session, Ross was kind enough to sign autographs for several fans!
It was a cool experience for our students who had never attended a NASCAR race before and we learned some new things about watermelon farming also!

No Cell from Bell to Bell – Let’s Keep Learning First
To help keep our classrooms focused and in compliance with new state law, we’re updating our expectations for student cell phone use this school year:
✅ Grades K–8: Students must keep personal electronic devices off and stored for the entire school day, from the first bell to dismissal.
✅ Grades 9–12: Students must keep devices off and put away during instructional time. Devices may be used before and after school, during lunch, and between classes.
Headphones, AirPods, and earbuds may not be worn during the school day unless approved by the principal or bus driver. For safety, only one earbud may be used if permitted.
Together, let’s keep learning front and center. For full details and FAQs, visit: https://www.putnamschools.org/page/no-cell-from-bell-to-bell
